Although I indicated on my outline that ReadiStep was an assessment that might be considered when creating information literacy lessons, it is not an assessment that currently impacts the students at my school. According to the site, ReadiStep is an indicator test that shows students’ college readiness. Because we have only had this test administered once at my school, it is not an assessment I need to consider at this time.

This link provides information on the FCAT NRT, which is going to be administered this year at my school and all of Florida. It does not directly relate to the Sciences and Social Studies and was recently taken out of the annual testing schedule only to be brought back this year. This is not something I need to consider at this time.

This link provides information on the EOC, or End of Course Assessments administered by Florida schools. This site does not need to be considered because EOC assessments only pertain to Math, which is not an area I will be focusing on at this time.

The following documents were not used in the consideration of creating information literacy lessons for Social Studies and Science:

Six Essential Elements Microsoft Word document – this is not necessary, as the textbook covers the six essential elements in great detail and this document does not give any more information. Also, there are other more colorful and detail documents discussing the six essential elements. This document is in the district’s IDEAS network.

Social Studies Benchmark 6-8 Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet – this document is quite lengthy and cumbersome and is not needed to successfully complete an information literacy lesson for Social Studies. This document is in the district’s IDEAS network.

Model Lesson Plan Template Microsoft Document – I thought there would be additional information regarding Science standards and/or expectations, but this was just a typical lesson planning guide. This document is in the district’s IDEAS network.

6th, 7th and 8th Grade Curriculum Guides (Science) PDF files – I thought these PDF documents would be essential to completing information literacy lessons for Science, but found that there were updated versions that also contained Gizmos embedded into the curriculum. This document is in the district’s IDEAS network.

Science Olympiad Curriculum Guide Microsoft Word document – this is a document describing a curriculum for an event known as the Science Olympiad, which is not done at every school. Currently, we do not have students participating in this event. This document is in the district’s IDEAS network.

Employee Appraisal PDF document – This document was not needed in deciding upon information literacy lesson topics or ideas; it did not contain any pertinent information regarding steps or actions needed to be taken.

CCSSI ELA Standards PDF document– Although this PDF was extremely informative, the entire document was not pertinent to Science and Social Studies; therefore, only a portion of the document was considered.
